About our scholarships
We partner with Civic Federal Credit Union and Local Government Federal Credit Union to provide both professional development and student scholarships.
Over many years, the scholarships have provided more than $2.7 million to credit union members to further their education. This investment has had a tremendous impact on our municipalities across the state.
Professional Development Scholarships
UNC School of Government Scholarship
UNC School of Government: North Carolinians who work in local government and are members of Local Government Federal Credit Union (LGFCU) or Civic Federal Credit Union are eligible to apply for a scholarship to help cover the cost of tuition for conferences, classes and seminars offered by the UNC School of Government in Chapel Hill.
AOMP/LEEP Scholarship
North Carolina State University Public Safety Leadership Initiative (PSLI): North Carolina local government law enforcement personnel who are also members of LGFCU or Civic are eligible to apply for tuition scholarships for the Administrative Officers Management Program (AOMP) and Law Enforcement Executive Program (LEEP).
