Two N.C. nonprofits awarded $25,000 each during Local Foundation’s first round of grants.

"Local Government Federal Credit Union (LGFCU) and Civic Federal Credit Union, have partnered to launch the Local Foundation of North Carolina. The Foundation’s mission aligns with the missions of both Credit Unions and avails funding to strengthen local communities."

The launch of Local Foundation of NC, made possible through funding by Local Government Federal Credit Union and Civic Federal Credit Union, will provide local organizations with funding opportunities and serve as a community resource. 

Local Foundation of NC will award community grants up to the amount of $25,000 to nonprofits that focus on one or more of the following causes: health care, housing, human services and hunger. The first grant application process will be December 15, 2021 through February 1, 2022.
